Spirit of the Liar is good because it is basically the same thing as the regular exotic. I'm not sure what you'd want to pair it with, though. Spirit of Renewal can be decent but is best paired with Spirit of the Cyrtarachne. I would try for either a Spirit of the Inmost Light or Spirit of Caliban as the other perk to pair with Spirit of the Liar. If you don't have one like that, just sticking with regular Liar's Handshake is probably fine.

Yep, Spirit of the Inmost Light plus Spirit of the Synthoceps is by far the most popular combination. Spirit of the Liar is better with the Combination Blow, though, because it's a higher damage increase than Spirit of the Synthoceps
