If the radar is tricking you that is you not being able to read it well

If you ask a high end PvP player where they’re eyes are focused most of the time, a lot of them will say on the radar

Go into pve and see how it reacts to different scenarios. You can use the shooting range to see the exact range of your radar

And trying to use it a lot in PvE will make it more natural in PvP
