The only changes they made to GOTD:
1st encounter: you normally have to do it 4 times, not 3, and the Ogres don't spawn until your deepsight expires so sometimes you're just killing adds for like 15-20s
2nd & 3rd encounter: the bosses shield in normal GOTD has like a million health.... each damage phase....
for ROT9 they added minor stuff in between encounters, like the acolyte guardian minifight between 1 & 2, near the 1st collectible
