The echo is not really Oryx, it is a literal echo based on his mental state when he just became the taken king

This is an oryx without like a thousand years of raising children and having any actual personal relationships beyond the siblings killing each other when they got bored

To the echo, all it has for context is “yeah you had a son later on and then really sucked at war after he died”

Oryx was always fond of his children, he literally only had them because he wanted them

The whole punishing Crota thing was because Crota had only acted like a privileged nepo baby who’d never worked for anything in his life

His attempt to cheat at getting power is what caused the vex to invade oryx’s throne world in the first place

Oryx threw him out of the house with his own army and told him he had to actually earn his own paycheck, which he very much quickly did

Crota wouldn’t have an entire shrine dedicated to oryx if their relationship was bad

Try to branch out of that, if you get used to using a special weapon it can be pretty potent

Ik people mentioned shotguns before, they’re just free kills if some unruly Titan attempts to close the distance

Which is like half of them nowadays, myself included 😭

Fusions are also quite effective and have greater range than shotguns, but have a bit of charge time

And specials have limited ammo in PvP.
If you whiff that, you get punished.

Fills in the close range gap where pulse rifles may be harder to use

Also very good for reactive gameplay because they can counter enemies that push very close
