I genuinely believe that, either by dev intention or by committee direction, all shaders and armor pieces are designed to be at least somewhat disappointing in appearance. That way you're never ever satisfied with how you look and you're more likely to fill that hole with eververse skins which, coincidentally, have the same design philosophy.

i never thought of it like that. but i have an attitude where i just make the most out of what i have, and i have fun trying to make good combinations of armor items to make it look as good as i can
but i can see how some people would just want to buy skins a lot because they want more cosmetics

Like the New Age Black Armory shader. It's got 3 pure black shades in it, the center is this shimmering warping metal, and red trim and red glow. That's a baller color pallette.

The last shade of that set, really just a single square indicated in the whole shader, is an ugly dirty pea green that will plaster itself over the weirdest and most unsightly parts of an armor piece. Like why? Why would they add this ugly color nobody would like to a shader that it doesn't blend with even remotely?

So you'd get disappointed, farm for a hopefully better shader, and when that fails, buy a shader pack. Then when none of that works, well damm it must be the armor pieces I'm using.

Guess what? Your selection pool for that is pruned often and liberally, with some very cool seasonal sets getting permanently and forever benched if you don't knab them in time.

First off without art D2 would be nothing, they have to do good concept art, thumbnails, storyboards to survive and polish them properly so it sells in first place
and about the second part, if i get 15k, it depends, will it be used somewhere of bought by you and idk hung up to a wall, if so. I have the skill to paint cool trees, i can just do a replica and sell you the bad one for private use and still implement the intended model if it was for example for a game
