But those colors are definitely too bright especially that orange pops alot and in any tactical situation you would be seen

Shaders show 4 colors rn, but they apply 6 colors. So what Bungie did was put the primary texture/color in the middle. (Aka if your shader has lumps, hatched material, etc), then the metal color around it, then the color of your glows at the edge of the diamond. Then the 4 surrounding colors are the 4 tertiary colors it applies.

I do like a lot of sets and weapons in D2 but there’s been so many raids, events, seasons, crossovers it doesn’t feel like there’s a cohesive artstyle anymore.

Maybe it’s a bit of nostalgia but yeah, I do really miss the slightly worn/lived in elements that D1 had. The retrofuturistic vibes and aesthetics.. It made sense for the setting.
