Ok, so basically destiny is a farming experience, those golden pieces are called exotics and you can get em by farming lost sector places, they are on every destination just use the map you should see them, once you have done a lost sector you can see if it's farmable or not cause there will be a flag, like those on public events.

Ps: you can farm a type of pieces every day on a different lost sector, like for example today is gonna be head, tomorrow is gonna be arms and so on...
