I'm tryna getting back into the game after like a year of not playing and I have 2 questions:
1 - How do tiers work? It seems they're linked to power level but I sometimes get higher tier stuff, how important are the benefits?
2 - Is my old gear relevant? I think weapons are but old armor feels totally outclassed

you get higher tiers based on difficulty and power, 450-470 gives you tier 5s but only on Ultimate Difficulty
Armor is outclassed yes, the new system added set bonuses and archetypes which give more stats

New difficulty above grandmaster. Feats are what has sort of replaced the old challenge triumphs for raids and dungeons, though it only exists on the newest of each and is not planned to be retroactively added to older ones.

They also act as activity modifiers

And having more of them, I think up to 5, gives you more rewards I believe

I need help. I can't play the Shadowkeep DLC and I don't know why. I never made any progress in this DLC. I haven't played since around 2020 and I never bought that DLC until now, when I came back and bought it and played it for the first time. Not a single campaign mission is showing up; I only see the last mission of that campaign, which I clearly DON'T want to do because I want to enjoy the entire campaign. Honestly, I never made any progress in this campaign. At most, I must have done the initial mission to reach the moon, and that was years ago, but nothing else. It was a combination of the game's installation size getting too large and moving to a new version of the engine in Beyond Light as well as a different system for controlling enemy AI, including movement and spawning

It was unfeasible to just update everything, and even if they did, it would've not fixed the issues with the game having a very large installation size, so they decided to just not update the year 1 campaigns as well as the Tangled Shore, based off of engagement metrics

People didn't play the campaigns so out they went

Renegades is the current dlc and that's how u can lvl up orrrr if ur f2p just do control

At least 4-5 drops and at most 3 of the drops are higher than ur normal power lvl
