Why is X not dropping?
It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

How does it work and what is transmoggable?
• Ada-1 sells 5 transmog bounties each having their own challenges (max 10 per class per season)

How and where do I spend transmog currency?

Last attempt was 20,000 ish total damage with a rewind rounds MG and Witherhorde blight. Probably would’ve been higher if I remembered to set up Surge mods for the loadout swap 😅 everything else is melee recharge on a 189 melee titan.

I think the last combo I tried in the range was Dragon’s breath + Action item with rewind rounds and target lock.

The thing about those is that Witherhoard has sort of fallen off since the introduction of Area Denial Frames, and Machine Guns, while having decent total damage, are pretty awful for Damage Per Second. They're one of the lowest picks for DPS Heavy weapons in general.

Thunderlord, for example, has been a community meme for years. Entry level DPS that doesn't actually hold up beyond ease of use.

And for Dragon's Breath you really want to be doubling down on Ignitions. Gunslinger Hunters, for example, paired it with Young Ahamkara's Spine for an ability/rocket dps loop, since Ignitions reload and empower the gun.

It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

Weapons look good, set bonuses are fine. As for the stats, yeah when you get the chance, bring down Weapons to 100 at most and then raise up grenade. Or melee if you plan to keep shackle grenade

It probably should. There are like 3-4 intrinsics, but then there are also catalysts which helped the weapon be stronger. If you joined someone else, and they are a higher light level, they can do the mission at a higher level than master, and you will be brought up to their power level.

Hey folks, quick question, is there a primer for Portal activity/loot?
I started playing again recently and im completely confused as to what I should be doing. Like yeah ok, play portal, get loot, but it looks like im always getting the same maybe 10 to 15 loots? And I understand the concept of trying to get a god roll on those, but is it just that? Are all activities just essentially trying to get from that same pool of items? And for how long? Is there a reset, a switch or something? How long do the reset last?

Your power level will determine the tier of gear that drops. Higher tier gear will have higher stats. Grinding your power by playing portal is best direct path to do that.

Anything in the portal with bonus drops unless you’re looking for specific gear for set bonuses. Ferro is one of the strongest set bonuses in the game currently and that drops from solo, fireteam, and (can’t remember the name but the 6 man activities) ops.
