an exotic that matches your build is more important than stats. higher tier legendary armor can make up for bad stats on an exotic too

and then when you get more hours into the game, you can farm for the same exotic with better stats

No. To use this as an example, these weapons are in the Forsaken category of the Monument. You have to own the Forsaken Pack in order to be allowed to acquire them.

The Free Category is the only one to focus on if you're looking for F2P equipment only.

Monte Carlo is actually a useful support gun for it’s ability regen. And if you’re on say Titan or Winters Guile Lock, you can get some serious damage out of the melee catalyst

Imo it just has the stigma of “bad that you need a specific gun to help with melee regen” but 50% energy from a really good catalyst is worth it

Not for one additional point of power, no. Power primarly matters when you're significantly under the level of the activity you're trying to run. Destiny 2 as a rule doesn't really have power advantage (where you do more damage by being higher power than an activity), only disadvantage (where you do less damage and receive more damage by being lower power). Also, most activities have Fireteam Power, where players get raised to within 10 power of the highest power player in a fireteam.

The main reason to care about Power these days is that it's the strongest factor in the Tier of the rewards you get. But going up one power won't help you right now. Your next tier shift will happen when you get to around 400

May as well. If you change your mind, you can pull weapons out of Collections. Exotic armor you should try to keep at least one roll in your Vault even if you don't have a use for them because pulling exotic armor from Collections is possible, but the roll you'll get from it will be terrible.

I believe that if you purchase them once you’ll get them for all 3 classes but I’m not sure.

well in general, primaries arent really in a good place right now. but if you really want to use an ar for damage your best bet would be reckless oracle from garden of salvation, zealous ideal from equilibrium, or abyss defiant from crota

last time i fully invested time into D2 was when strand was released and i did look into a lot of mods and such but it seems most of what i figured out there has gone poof

love the submachine arc gun that when you're empowered with arc can shoot infinitely and used that the most of any weapon yet i forgot its name haha

i learned it for strand/lightfall

i had the most fun there because i could grapple and melee and it would reset grapple so i could chain it

but the subclasses feel worse the arc slam or titan bubble with damage boost was more fun than the thundercrash and that you can control (is a skill issue also lol)

maybe one day they will settle on a single light number rather than keep trying different itterations of levels lol

back when strand come out there was artifact mods and other things that allowed me to have infinite grenade energy for grapple grenade and frienzied blade had multiple charges which i also had ways to generate more than normal melee energy (wasnt 100% uptime but was near)

i wanna get back to that playstyle and was wondering how

having atleast 100 melee and high nade stat will help with melee and grapple regen a lot, take advantage of woven mail with into the fray and strand weapons/navigator for infinite grapple spam as well

im currently mid way through prismatic so cant check what i have on my strand rn but all that sounds familiar so a good chance im using all that. woven mail i know i use actively i get that just on melee i dont even need to use a tangle

i do need to farm for better gear though im currently averaging 60-70 on armor total stats (always a new mission i need to do though haha)
