Sparrow Boost by default is Left Trigger (L2). I've heard folks report issues with the speeder bike, but never ran into it with my controllers. If you use a controller with trigger stops (like the Dualsense Edge, Xbox Elite controllers, etc.), try turning the trigger stop off.

If you do have a controller with trigger stops and turning it off helps, that means your controller is not set up to treat the trigger as 100% pulled when at the trigger stop. Some controllers will let you adjust that but if that's not an option for you, you'll need to remember to turn off the trigger stop when you need to boost

Why is X not dropping?
It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

if you don't care for the lore i wouldn't worry about any of the campaigns for now, they are boring and unrewarding for your time. You can go do the campaigns once you get a build you like going so that it doesn't drag.

i couldn't imagine beginning in a game and jumping straight to farming

eventually you will do all the campaigns, they all have exotics and rewards tied to them so you can collect everything. if you have no dlc yet get through guardian rises and see if you are bored or not

not really farming, just through the starter quest and portal activites, every one is a new activity and all give rewards. try them all once, if you happen to like one you can do it over and over a few times for more rewards.
