Posterity would be the most directly farmable option if you're hunting for a solid craftable arc HC. Nothing massive has changed with DSC strats. Parasite/Lament are still the way to go for Atraks, for example.

If it doesn't specify that you get additional progress for killing Guardians, there's a decent chance it just means guardians, but your biggest barrier with getting PVE kills in Gambit is finding a match in Gambit.

All gear you get will start at 300 as a catch-up mechanic, and then from there to 550 will be running Portal activities. Get the highest grade you can which will get you the highest possible Power and reward tier.

If you own Renegades, complete that campaign and Lawless Frontier will be an additional good source of powerful drops

It's not something you can actively change on a drop you already have. The Tier of the reward is based on the Grade you can get from the activity which is based on your Power and the difficulty of the activity. You'll need to be close to 500 to get Tier 5 gear, for example.

You can't play your Xbox characters on someone else's Steam account without making that link permanent. You'd want to make your own Steam (or whatever PC platform they use) account and link that.

Yeah, so not on the ground floor. IIRC there's some rooms branching off the ledges. Did you fully check the ledge area to make sure it's not hiding in a nook?
