Ace - solid in pve and pvp both, strong stats and is basically just a hand cannon with like 4 perks and buffed firefly + buffed kill clip
Last Word - if you're on mouse and keyboard ignore this exists probably, it's fun but bungie did targeted m&k nerfs that make it feel kind of bad
Thorn - really solid in pve and pvp, poison gimmick that synergizes with one of warlock's exotic armor pieces
Lumina - the gimmick is useless in solo play but very very strong in any pve content where you have teammates due to giving teammates a huge damage buff
Monarque - mostly a pvp weapon honestly, can be decent in pve occasionally but is mosty notable for making people hatemail you in pvp
Izanagi - sniper with a gimmick of turning multiple bullets into one bullet to shoot more bullet per bullet, very good

is like short summaries of the hcs and the two others i saw you mention

i think any of them are fine to pick up

izanagi is the only one there that's like very pve relevant but even it doesn't see a ton of use rn

Not a solar super, but everything else. I'm not swapping builds, if I can avoid it at all. This is the setup I've got practice on, and this is not enough of a "main game" for me to worry about anything else. If the fight absolutely requires a radically different build, I just won't finish this dungeon.

Switching to anything else would require re-learning enough that just doing this via attrition would be much faster.

Portal is how you gain power, so make sure you're picking activities with bonus rewards, with focused rewards in your lower slots, etc. and making sure you're getting as high a grade as you can.

Targeting your lowest slots has always been the best way to level

For example if your most powerful boots are -5 from your base, then a +3 drop in the boots would be effectively +8 (aka 1 whole level of Power)

https://destinyrecipes.com/power is a good quick way to track your highest-in-slot power and will also suggest Portal activities whose focus reward will give the best benefit. Meanwhile https://www.d2portal.com/optimize will point you in the direction of the activities with the most bonus rewards

The ideal is to find the middle of the venn diagram between those two tools: a focus reward that will help and has a bunch of bonus rewards

the order of encounters cleared for crystal doesnt matter, just has to be all 3 before you get a new drop chance (similar to secret chests in both equilbrium and desert perpetual)

theres like an internal tracker that checks off which encounters you have done, and it resets when all are done. you could also do 3 > 2 > 1 and 1st encounter clear would both have a chance to drop the crystal and would reset the secret chests if they were previously opened

In case of Encore the entire catalyst puzzle is within the mission itself so it would've been possible for Bungie to keep the puzzles but I highly doubt it since the quests for the catas shouldnt be there anymore

Yeah I had the Whisper quest from back in the day, quit, then farmed Choir but never got the cata quest. Not sure it's available anymore

I just got the Whispered Breathing just from running The Whisper, so I'm sure it's the same. Probably just need to do a harder difficulty like you said.

I dont understand what Im doing wrong in PVP.. I use the weapons with god roll stats (that I get from videos about them) like The Immortal, or Martlet. But somehow I have to empty entire clips into players to kill them, or get multiple headshots. Then I just looked at a video by Legoleflash, and he is simply oblitering players with his Riptide and pistol. They are hit, and they before they have a chance to move. Thats how I feel when I meet other players too. There is no time to move before I'm dead if someone shoots at me.

The average TTK amongst primary weapons is 0.8 seconds - but that assumes you're hitting all headshots. Bodyshot TTK can be a fair bit longer. For The Immortal, it's a difference of roughly 0.75 seconds to 1.33 seconds - at least with the old armour system.

We can't really say what's going on from this text alone, but I'd wager you're not getting full damage - either hitting body shots, missing shots, or being outside of optimal range and getting damage dropoff.

EQ is a Dungeon not a raid
if you dont hit the damage threshold (dealing enough damage to pass the glowing part of the healthbar) the coils come back down and strike lightning around the arena

hey guys, i asked couple hours ago but i have know another doubt. (Im a fairly new player and its my first dungeon) Im the EQ Dungeon, againts dredgen sere, i failed to reach the damage threshold in the damage phase, and when i returned from the "dark" domain after failing to achieve the damage (part to which i dont know how i survived) the coils were still active. Is there any way to deactivate them again or do i have to restart the encounter no matter what?

When you open up your character menu, there'll be three symbols next to your weapons. One of those is the Overload one. Read and find out what they're weak to. There is also Overload stuff in the artifact
