Contraverse hold + magnetic grenade is the typical combo (holding the grenade button to charge). The thing alot of people dont know is you need to have pretty decent fps to have it do good.

Additionally hug the boss and throw at its feet (jump and throw to its feet if you are facing dredgen sere.)

For most fireteam ops, it's just raw kills that contributes to score, so if you can't run it at a higher difficulty, you'll need to make sure you're not going fast through encounters

Also, typically in encounters that have a disruptor mechanic (where an enemy can stop your ghost from doing stuff), the ghost being disrupted makes you get 0 score per kill

Whisper even without cata will be fine. The two boss fights in GoS are ranged, precision-based fights, so any sort of heavy precision weapon will be good. I will warn you that pris getaway may cause trouble in the final fight as the buddies historically like to shoot the portal triggers on the final boss on their own.

One more thing for this, are there any other non-power level requirements that I should know about for a new player hoping to do raids in 2026? I.e. having to clear up to a certain portion of the campaign, or specific weapon/gear reccs? Or can new players simply hop right in, complete a couple hours of quests, grab a full set of random purple gear, and attempt raids?

I might be underestimating how difficult raids are, but from what I remember, the non-challenge runs weren't too bad and didn't need like perfect godroll exotics

It mostly depends on the expectations of the team. If you have a squad of 6 so you don't need to worry about randos, then you can mostly use whatever. Unless people are actively throwing (like using primaries on a boss) there isn't much risk of failing to clear the boss before enrage. If you're going to have to be LFG'ing to fill out the team, then that's where you will likely want/need to step up your gear/build quality.

Beyond that I think the only raid that requires a campaign completion is Edge of Fate's and only one person needs that done

Cutthroat is the only hard one and finding lfg groups farming runs with the other 4 enabled is pretty easy

Depends on build. For pve, heath is the only throwaway stat.

Then when you are ready to PvP, you want 150+ health to be the same as 100 recov as before.

For contraverse build you want all in on grenades, for getaway I’d say 150 grenade and 150+ weapons, and then for boots of the assembler you want 170+ weapons, 100 super, 50+ class

Those are pretty much the only builds you’d be playing

Weapons is the single most important stat in the game right now

You can but all you have to do is play the portal

You’ll see a bunch of activities with a green engram that says bonus drops do all those first

Then I’d recommend farming a fireteam op activity that gives 3 completion rewards because those can be done in about 11-12 minutes and you get 3 drops in that time

So how does it work if I have lorley splendor, which casts my class ability when I get to crit health. And if I have the armor mod which grants me dr when im crit health but takes orbs, and the armor mod that grants me class ability that also takes orbs, if both trigger when i hit crit health how the hell does that work? Do they like split it or?

Like my class ability is expended so as soon as I hit crit health so that triggers the class ability mod that grants class energy when it’s fully expended off of armor charges but the armor mod is triggered as well off of armor charges? So like wth? How does it work?

i believe Utility Kickstart is only activated on manual cast, and Energy Reinforcement is only 10% damage resist.
sunspots are also already created on (im assuming youre using) pure solar with Sol Invictus which also makes loreley useless

generally armor mods that consume armor charges to give energy are bad and not used outside of Special Finisher for ammo
