I have a question about the final boss room in Equilibrium, to those that know, shutting off the electricity obviously is necessary, but I notice once they are off, the conduits still stay open and you can force push them again to make them fold back into the ceiling.
What I’ve noticed, is after damage phase they’re all back out again and turned on, so does retracting them even matter at all? Or should I just turn them off and forget about the second hit?

That explains it, my solo flawless runs I’ve been taking it really slow and using survivability over damage output. Died about 2 phases from solo flawless and couldn’t find an answer for the conduits, appreciate ya letting me know

Compelling the Shadows shrinks the damage threshold and extends the timer

Keep in mind that you're not going to be able to go significantly past the damage threshold, so if you're able to put out a lot of damage, you don't want to compel all of them

When you damage the boss you will see a portion of the health bar (starts at roughly 1/3rd) that’s greyed out. In order for all the pylons not to activate after DPS, you must damage past that threshold. Anytime you kill a shadow instead of compelling, it increases the DPS threshold you must hit. Whenever you are teleported to the taken realm and return to the normal al room, a pylon drops down and you’ll need to hit the switch to put it back into the ceiling. If you don’t, it will be active during DPS and you’ll have extra lightning to avoid.

You should really just wait for Xur to sell it to grind out rolls, alternatives cost a lot of time in activities not worth doing at the moment. The plus side to Xur is doing anything in portal gives coins, they give a lot more if you remember to claim the coin buff from Xur every week on every character.

Heroic public events with a ghost mod give 15,000 per completion, the dawning reward shop also sells large amounts of glimmer for a low cost of event tokens.
Renegades tharsis outpost sells like 20,000 a day, there may be more sources there but I’m not aware of them.

Because those are really the only way of earning those cosmetics and Deepsight Harmonizers. It's so easy to get Exotic Engrams that it's just not worth spending 300 Chronologs to get only one when you could spend only 100 or something to get two Shaders.

Deepsight Harmonizers are used on some weapons to be able to make a craftable version of them, where you can choose your own perks without having to farm for the one you want. Cosmetics are considered the true endgame of Destiny and are how you change your characters appearance. The armor cosmetics in the Monument to Seasons Past are the only place to get armor ornaments from previous seasons.

Gear from previous season is not directly available atm. Some of Hawthorne's weekly engrams can/will drop them but you only get a max of 4 per week and have no control over what they drop. Bungie said they're going to add a way to go for older gear in an upcoming update, but no ETA
