All but the class items from The Final Shape can be purchased at Master Rahool for one (1) Exotic Cipher per piece of armor. You can get about two (2) Ciphers per week, one from Xur and one from the track in the portal. If you want them to drop normally, your only option is to farm Vex Strike Forces on Neomuna. There's a dedicated discord server somewhere that sends an alert when one is happening. For the class items, you'll either need to farm chests in the Pale Heart or farm Strange Coins for Xur on the weekends. Xur can also give out exotic armor from Lightfall and The Final Shape, but it's random what he brings. Only the class items are guaranteed.

It got extended to 48 hours after issues with some devices not functioning properly during the original 24 hours and causing a lot of people to miss out on it. Previously, dungeons would have a "Master" version but this is the first new dungeon since they have started changing things so I don't know if this one will have a "Master" version, which is still lesser than Contest either way.

If you do, then picking up orbs of power will give you armor charges for the other mods to use.

Yellow icon mods are Kickstarts, which refund ability energy when you use that ability, at the cost of some number of armor charges. Blue icon mods are Fonts, which boost a stat for a few seconds per armor charge (when the time ends, the charge is expended). Green icon mods modify your charges: either their capacity, how many you pick up at a time, how you can generate charges, etc.

i also wouldn't worry about builds if you're new tbh, honestly i'd just mess around with a ton of stuff to see what is the most fun for you. i never run a build with armor charge mods and it's totally fine. i prefer a ton of weapon handling mods versus charge ones

You generally have a loop of Orb Generation Mod (Siphon, Firepower, Heavy Handed, etc.) -> Mods that use armor charges (Font, Kickstart, Weapon Surge) + Mods that modify armor charges (stacks on stacks to increase the charge cap, elemental charge to allow elemental collectibles to give charges, etc.)
