Armor & weapon tiers are based on power levels, you can still get a viable set at lower levels though. You’ll wanna reach 451+ power before really grinding for sets, otherwise it’s kind of a waste of time.

I’d say a full weapons stat is more for a run n gun type build or for boss dps, generally the weapons stat isn’t necessary otherwise, as many add clear builds utilitize super/melee/grenade.

Some of the strongest builds don’t need the weapons stat at all.

I utilize weapons as ways to keep my abilities up, or to use in places where my abilities wont reach

So generally what I like to do is figure out like what subclass I’m gonna run, and pair it up with an armor exotic

Like if I was doing a high dps super build I would focus on my gear having intellect

Or a high damage grenade build I would focus on discipline stat

Cause I like the heat subclass but I cant seem to make it tanky and have healing be applicable more often

or if you don't mind swapping to void, right now contraverse hold builds are running wild

a eunoia helion build could be good for a heal-centered playstyle if you pair it w the fragment that makes you heal from grenade final blows

run that with a healing nade in case you need it and youre set
