If I recall correctly, VSF is very heavily weighted towards new Exotic drops, but not a guarantee. It's so heavily weighted that most people think it always drops new stuff, so as far as I can tell, you simply have abysmal luck.

Unless the Forsaken Exotic specifically comes from the Monument to Lost Lights terminal in the Tower, they will drop from literally any Exotic Engram, as they're World Drops. Exotic Engrams have a number of sources, including dropping from literally any random enemy - at a low chance, of course.

As for Eager Edge, the easiest source would be from the two swords unique to Dares of Eternity. They can come with that perk. If you've unlocked crafting from the F2P Witch Queen campaign intro, they are both craftable weapon options.
There's also a modern sword option, but I've been a bit out of the loop, so I don't know the exact drop source of the Synaceia.

for perspective, riven is about a 15 second phase with ~170k health

star eater x6 glacial quake does 130k damage in 13 seconds without counting transcendent blessing at 200 super stat, so 2 people on each side can easily cheese riven

if you can hit 200 super with transcendent blessing you can push that to like 156k but i dont think that's doable rn

unless you have max super spike old armor

solo cheese has been doable in some seasons with artifact buffs

grapple punch could do it rn but i think it'd be miserably inconsistent

so basically, it's still a heavy gl that runs on special ammo with no projectile drop or effort needed

also it has a 2.31 minor scalar for some reason so it has a total damage against red bars of like

well over 100k still

so it's still amazing add clear too!

hey so I'm sorry to rekindle this but something weird happened. I bought the Legacy bundle on Steam and from there I clicked on the world map in the top-right and viewed the timeline. From there I selected the earliest mission I could chronologically which happened to put me in this exact same mission (Cayde's Fate) that was bugged. I thought huh, may as well give it a shot and for some reason it worked... I was able to progress past the security hub part and continue on with the rest of the mission. I'm unsure if this is technically different from clicking and launching the mission from the "Timeline Reflection" tile compared to clicking on the mission the way I did. Very weird but thought I'd mention just in case there are any other new players like me who run into this bug. 👍

Not really, just don’t finish it before reaching the cave, finish afterwards.

If it doesn’t spawn, finish it anyways without the mini objective. The game will try to assist your score eventually and spawn it.

It’s a looter shooter, the goal is to get the best weapons & armor which are locked behind power level.
To increase your power level you need to complete activities within the portal that have bonus drops, you should adjust the score with modifiers to get an A grade. More bonus drops are available in the weekly portal track.
After you’ve completed all activities with bonus drops, you then just grind reclaim.
Power level above 200 can only be increased from activities inside the portal.

If you have Final shape (prismatic) or Lightfall (strand) do those campaigns first.
