Why is X not dropping?
It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

Theres no "one build" or "one gun" that will carry you in all aspects of the game

Itll depend on what content you do and what role you want to play

Thats narrowing it down but for raids the meta can and will differ for the actual raid youre doing and the setup the rest of your team is running
