pinnacle ops are also fun and can give a good ratio of time per drop if you pick the right ones

personally I would just pick things that sound fun to you and do them. Doing 500 solo ops is boring as hell

both spreadshot/special ammo rapid shotty is fine

you can have unlimited uptime for 12p with spreadshot(lower damage bonus tho)

Melee is arcane needle, grenade is storm grenade, fragments are feed the void and lightning surge.
Facet of courage, facet of grace, facet of awakening, facet of dominance and facet of protection.
Exotic class item with spirit of necrotic. The second perk you can choose from claw, star eaters or synthoceps depending on what you want.
For gear go for techsec. Thorn will melt through shields with the bonus to kinetic damage. and so will that poison as it's a kinetic damage source.

It isn't exactly a mission. It's a dungeon. The quest provides extra objectives within it. Dungeons are mid/endgame three person activities you need to find a team for. You can run them solo, but this is a difficult experience intended for top level players.
