Curated perks are the "default" set of perks on a weapon, sometimes used for fixed rolls the game gives you (though most weapons don't ever use their curated roll and is just a placeholder)

most curated weapons are also not great fwiw so don't look too much into it

Other than that, most legendary weapons just drop with random perks out of a pool of possible perks for each column

Again it depends on what you want. If you want everything currently available, you want Leagcy 2025, Edge of Fate, and 6000 SIlver (assuming you don't own any dungeon keys currently) so that you can buy the Witch Queen, Lightfall, and Final Shape dungeon keys.

I definitely wouldn't recommend Legacy 2023 unless you only want to play stuff that was old when you played last.

You can't have it just be any drop gives anything because then you have to tone down rewards across the board, and then you have the trials thing of people throwing matches to get loot faster because you get good rewards for losing anyway

It'll fairly consistenlty give you T+1 gear (whatever you base Tier is + 1) with a low chance of T+2, though if you're looking for armor you'll have to unlock them in the Solstice forge which might be a decent bit of grinding in a short time.

Best thing you can do is lock things you don't have as junk, and then transfer to your char(s) to delete

If you haven't been assessing your drops as they happen, not really, no. DIM's wishlist stuff isn't awful, but there's no objectively correct weapon rating so if you don't know enough to know when to ignore their recommendations, you're far better off taking your time.
