Why is X not dropping?
It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

the non lighthouse passage has a skill based matchmaking system, that is basically just used to farm trials for loot as many times as you want. The lighthouse passage will get you access to the lighthouse witch has the most rewards but it depends on the highest win streak you get on the passage, and i believe there's no skill based matchmaking system in place for it

Yeah the legendary armor is a non-factor in my complaint.

My big issue is yeah, non-seasonal exotics are a thing. But as you stated, if those are your only 2 non-seasonal picks then the penalty is trivial. Your build just isnt playable in some content due to stuff like conquest/avant.

My big issue is with stuff like Strandlock. I'm rewarded for using strand weapons. Strand kills give me threadlings due to Weaver's call. Festival Flight is awesome and has amazing synergy with Weavewalk. Mint Retrograde is awesome. Next season, they won't be considered seasonal anymore. And who knows when they'll make a new strand area denial GL
