The game changed a lot with the most recent DLC, as did the new player experience. I'm going to make some suggestions as goals to work towards, but please don't treat this as a job or grind. Do what is fun for you.

I'd focus on three main things: your Guardian Rank and the Portal, Campaigns and Subclasses, and Exotic Armor and Weapons.

• Guardian Ranks and the Portal:
  Bungie has recently refocused the Guardian Rank system to focus on the new Portal menu and activities, so it's a great way to learn to use those systems. More importantly, getting your Guardian Rank up also increases the kinds of rewards you can get, so it's highly recommend to increase your Guardian Rank as much as you can. The activities in the Portal are how many players are interacting with the game these days, so it's good to be familiar with them.

• Campaigns and and Subclasses:
  While it is frustrating that some of the earlier campaigns were removed from the game, meaning you won't be able to experience those parts of the story, it is still possible to enjoy the available campaigns for what they are. Under in the "World" tab, there is a "Timeline" button (top right) that summarizes a lot of the story (sometimes with videos or one-off missions) to help introduce certain characters, places, and events. Alternatively, there are many lore videos avalible that cover the timeline much more in-depth if that's your thing. Sometimes players will watch those videos until they reach a campaign, play that campaign, then resume the video til the next one. Or if that's not your thing, just jump right in and play them. The campaigns themselves are easy to follow even if the overall narrative gets confusing. You can always look up stuff afterwards.

On the more practical side, three of the games subclasses are locked behind different campaigns; Stasis comes from the Beyond Light campaign (which is F2P), Strand comes from Lightfall, and Prismatic comes from The Final Shape. Additionally, all of them have post-campaign content that can be valuable to unlock for a number of different activities, so it's good to get them done.

• Exotic Armor and Weapons:
  While many new players think of Exotics as endgame (and sometimes they are), most are actually pretty easy to acquire and form the building blocks of actual endgame activities like raids. Unlocking as many of these as you can will both help you fill out your toolkit as well as let you try and experiment with all sorts of builds. One of the main sources of Exotics for newer players is by simply opening Exotic Engrams at Rahool in the Tower. The Exotic engram has a limited loot pool on a knockout system, meaning you won't get any duplicates until you have everything it has to offer. Anything that doesn't come from that loot pool can usually be purchased from Rahool (armor) or the Monument to Lost Light (weapons) using Exotic Ciphers, so make sure to collect those whenever you can. There are other sources for Exotics, but this text wall is already long enough, so I'll leave it there for now, but feel free to ask haha.

Hi, how to do/find the campaign The edge of fate to get exotic when you skipped the campaign with page with the 2 choices (normal/legend) ? I have already finished the campaign with my warlock. When I first arrived with my titan on the Edge of fate I skipped the campaign - with the 2 choices page (normal or legend) and returned to orbit to go to the Tower. Today i dont find the campaign with the quest of the stages. I did the campaign missions with matchmaking in game without quest with stages but no exotic.

I go to light.gg, look up the gun and check out some of the top rolls. It's not always gonna catch all the good ones because it's build dependent a lot of times but it gives you an idea of what people are keeping

If you haven't already, don't redeem the armor yet, it'll keep the loot pool limited to just weapons. If you already did, you can use another character that hasn't unlocked the armor to farm instead. The most efficient farm is just doing the Solo Ops mission that drops Solstice engrams for the day. Right now it's Salt Mines, but it'll change in about 40 min.

On console is there a setting so you can actually see the stat bump when upgrading gear? Tried to get a Pic but you can't see the full number without scrolling to the side but if you do you move off the upgrade so it's moot

Yeah in this case. But upgrading say the event SMG it bumps all. And you can't see what it is

I mean they are alright only benefit is that you get multiple drops but they are slower. I can do like 3 calderas by the time I solo star crossed but that's the only way for mint retrograde to drop

Most the time you are not shooting the spread fire cause the damage isn't really there and it's main strength is it's precision dmg while ads
