If by bonus chest you specifically mean the chest armor, that's definitely not guaranteed after your first qualifying clear (note the "for a chance"). Fairly certain the solstice engram works the same.

I guess you could use the regular Necrotic Grips, but that seems pretty bad lol. There's also an argument for Eunoia but these are all tangental bonuses. There's not really anything that directly synergizes with it. Typically people use Song of Flame as an emergency button in builds that run it and use their Exotic to boost neutral gameplay like with Getaway Artist or Rime-coat Raiment.

"It" being what? If you mean Desert, Desert is the exception. If you mean any other raid/dungeon, they're 100% confirmed farmable for legendaries. Exotics have (AFAIK) not been confirmed one way or another so assuming they're on a lockout is wise for maintaining sanity, but it's not confirmed that they're not farmable.

Im not sure when exactly the Solstice event started, but I have seen people with the entire gear+glow. Rn when I do the solo runs, I get 15 Alloy coins. With others it gives me 23, but this way it would take such a long time. Is there something Im missing?

Well rotation is no longer a thing, and it's not confirmed whether raids' and dungeons' exotics (since they're not in rotation and constantly farmable for legendaries) are farmable under the new system

Bungie hasn't said one way or another and there haven't been any widely noticed reports of folks getting exotics on repeat clears in the same week

As of EOF exotics cannot drop above 63 base total stats, as all new exotic drops are equivalent to Tier 2 of the 3.0 system.
