Personally, I recommend Deep Stone Crypt. Easy to learn, and you can practise the mechanics in Seraph Shield or Vesper's Host. It's more exciting than Vault of Glass, the loot is fine, and it's directly related to the Beyond Light post campaign.

VoG is also good, but DSC is more exciting - I find it encapsulates the highs of a Raid well.

Also, you actually have to learn the mechanics - you can't be purely carried, unlike with VoG. That is a good thing - being involved helps you learn.

So I have been seeing lots of hate towards Destiny 2, most of it though was regarding the paid content and the other bit about the " lack of content variety ". I just started about a week ago, because almost all the dlcs except the two most recent ones are free on plus now. Initially the game was very confusing and felt overwhelming. try using less positive modifiers (and make sure to be using solstice event modifiers) so you need to use less negative modifiers that boost enemy light level
