Assuming the most typical non-specific Primary/Special/Heavy setup, the vast majority of your add clear should be done with your Primary. Your Special should mainly be used to kill Yellow bars / Champions. Your Heavy should be used for Boss DPS or the occasional Yellow/Champ. You should have very little ammo issues with this setup even when not prioritizing ammo gen, especially if you use an Exotic Primary.

You can get even more specific with your setups. In lower end content, I find it very easy to run an Eager Edge sword in my Heavy and use a Special weapon like Praedyth's Revenge for Boss DPS.

Or if bosses aren't as much of a focus (certain raid encounters) using better add clear options in the special/heavy slot and using the primary for backup

And if you're comfortable with loadout swaps, you get even more options. One loadout with maxed out ammo gen and add clear, then swap to one spec'd out for boss dps

So is your question that you're trying to swap your setup to Mint + Memory, or are you wanting to replace Memory with Mint?

If you're simply swapping, you shouldn't feel much of a difference.

If you're moving to double special, I'd highly recommend bumping up your Weapon stat, potentially running armor set bonuses like Last Discipline, and running Special ammo support like the finder/finisher mods.

Yeah I tried facing 2 ogres at shooting range, and they destroy ward of dawn within seconds. So it got a major nerf went from basically indestructible in PVE to breaking in just a few seconds under sustained fire

The titan barricade somehow lasted a few seconds against the Ogres, while Ward of dawn gets destroyed in like 5 seconds. That’s kinda crazy

I remember reading something where every 20 power levels has a mini reset in terms of reward rank stuff. I'll see if I can dig it up.
