Hi! Can anyone tell me what a dungeon key gives you access to? I'm not quite sure to understand what it does since it appears I can access any dungeons in normal mode (I own every expansions). Does it give you access to the dungeon or does it give you access to higher difficulty modes?

each dungeon key grants access to two specific dungeons

the witch queen one is for duality (on the moon) and spire of the watcher (savathun's throne world) - spire is currently free for everyone through rite of the nine
lightfall key is for ghosts of the deep (legends tab, also part of rite of the nine) and warlords ruin (edz)
final shape key is for vespers host (europa) and sundered doctrine (savathuns throne world)

there are 3 other dungeons, prophecy (free, also in rite of the nine), shattered throne (part of forsaken pack), and pit of heresy (part of shadowkeep pack)

you might have some of the dungeon keys via deluxe/annual editions of some of the dlcs

And as you said, some like duality require the key

I didn't understand why dungeons like Spire of the Watcher or Sundered Doctrine were available even though I didn't have any dungeon key

Terminal Overload
-The rotating public event, Terminal Overload will grant you up to 75 Strand Meditations when you finish Tier 3, however, a downside to this is that you will need to find people to do this event with(random people on Neomuna or LFG) and you probably cannot tackle this event solo.

High Value Targets
Just like the Derelict Leviathan,H VT’s will drop up to 7-10 Strand Meditations on death, these are fairly difficult bosses roaming the map, so be prepared to take them on

Neomuna Patrols
Each Neomuna patrol will grant you 7-8 Strand Meditations, as far as farming goes, these may be one of the sources you use the most, depending on what you do

Heroic public events
Most heroic public events on Neomuna give you 25-30 Strand Meditations

Nimbus rank 13 and 18

At rank 13, you will receive 200 Strand Meditations from Nimbus, at Rank 18 you will receive 300. It would be pretty advantageous to rank up the vendor and get these rewards.

Apogee Repeaters
With the end of the world first race, Apogee repeaters have appeared all through Neomuna that grant you Strand meditations when collected. This is a good way to make a good amount of meditations fast

Quests and missions
Different missions and quests on Neomuna will also grant you Strand Meditations, the number is around 15-20

Trials of Osiris passage you just play and get some rewards with easier matchmaking, Lighthouse passage gives access to the Lighthouse after 7 wins and has completely random matchmaking

Unlocking the Dual Destiny mission (exotic class item)

• Run one overthrow per zone. On completion, go kill the secret boss that just spawned in the area. It only stays during the Calm timer. You do not need to do all 3 in a row or in the same instance.
• Once all 3 secret bosses are dead, travel to the Blooming and follow the green beam of light in the sky.
• Interact with the Savathun statue in the blue cave, and follow the 2 markers that spawned on your map.
• Kill the enemies under the pyramids at the markers, until a boss spawns and drops a ball (light or dark)
• Deposit each ball in the corresponding plaque back at the Savathun statue

In most content, very little. In the content that's higher than 2020, your usual goal is to get to as high as they'll cap you for the activity as most difficulty modes in D2 force a power disadvantage

Along the same lines, there's basically no such thing as power advantage in D2. Being higher power than activity will provide a hilariously minor benefit, assuming the activity even lets you be higher power.

For higher power, go to the chest to the left of the Emissary in RIte of the Nine (in the Eternity menu in Destinations) and pick up the full set of 2020 gear. Keep in mind power is getting completely reset on the 15th (all players will log in at 10 power starting then), too.

As far as what to do, that depends on what you own and what you want out of game like D2.

Generally speaking, before worrying about anything else, new players should play through the campaigns they have access to. Get familiar with the systems and story, unlock a subclass (or more if you own Lightfall and Final Shape), get some OK pieces of gear.

Not quite sure what you mean by not having void, since that'd mean you played very weirdly when you played last. As far as barrier breaking, the artifact helps tehre, and as far as the Power I suspect you're looking at Master not Expert, which sould be closer to 2020.

2. Other than TFS Legendary, you'd need novel decoding

Bungie has not said (at least not anywhere readily available). Since the Episodes are free too, there's a decent chance the TFS dungeon key will be free (since at that point it's basically TFS + Annual), but I wouldn't expect WQ/LF keys but leave the possibilty open to be pleasantly surprised tomorrow

Lotus-Eater is currently available through the Nightfall and will be unavailable after reset tomorrow until after July 15. Aberrant Action will be free from July 8-15. The Call will be free from July 8-22. If the dungeons are included, both Indebted Kindness and Buried Bloodline will be free from July 8-22.

What is Trials?
Trials of Osiris is an endgame PvP activity based on the standard Elimination Crucible mode. Power level advantage is enabled, but Artifact bonus power is disabled. Trials is only available on weekends (starting at Friday reset) and isn't available the first week of a Season, the launch week of a Raid, or during Iron Banner.

How to access Trials?
• Complete Saint-14's "Trials Access" quest.
• Purchase a Passage from Saint-14 to enter each weekend.
• Own the current expansion pack (The Final Shape).

What is Flawless and what does it give?
• Having 7 wins on your Passage without any losses.
• Grants access to the Lighthouse, where you receive an Adept weapon, endgame materials, and a piece of Trials armor.

Unless you're specifically prepping for the raid race on the 19th or have nothing else to do in D2, I generally wouldn't recommend grinding for loot this close to a new expansion.

Terminus (at least the RotN version) is fine. There are better LMGs, but not really any that you can farm more readily than Terminus

Especially with the arc-heavy artifact perks this season, something that leans into arc verbs like amplified (which Eddy Current does) can be solid. Like if you're running that Terminus in an arc build, it can be pretty solid

It's a bit of a coin flip imo. An ammo perk like triple tap is on paper more generally useful, but an ammo perk that requires crits (triple tap) on an heavy add clear weapon isn't especially awesome.

You can check if it's featured by cursoring over the Legends node and see if it lists VoG as featured

If you've got it and are OK burning the exotic slot, Graviton Lance is rock solid. As far as legendaries, Gridskipper (Revenant activities), Word of Crota (Crota's End), Anamnesis (Heresy activities) are all solid.

Only in the context of the New Weapons buff, and it caps out at 15% against red bars. So unless you're religiously using every available surge in every activity you play, you won't even notice its absence

And also new drops of old weapons certainly won't qualify even if they do get tiers
