Farming high start armor isn't really a great use of time since it'll immediately get replaced. Personally I'd recommend making sure you have all your subclasses fully unlocked on all your characters, get as many exotics unlocked as possible, and farm out any last minute seasonal weapons

Well, think of it this way. Hunter Dodge can be regained through means other than Mobility. Mobility, otherwise, only helps walk speed and base jump height. It's very inconsequential.
Recovery is health regen, which can also be regained through other means.
Resilience is baseline damage resistence. Universally useful, and stacks with other resistences. It's the clear winner of the top three.

Of the bottom three, Int is useless in PvE due to the way Super is actually generated - Int only affects baseline cooldown.
Strength is useless because Hunters have Gambler's Dodge
So Discipline is the remaining priority stat

This is a very similar system for most builds across all classes - the stat distribution becomes stale and universal.

the high power gear is to help new players, like yourself get into whatever they'd like before the new expansion drops and resets everyone to power 10. the actual gear itself isn't great by any means though, and should be infused into something that is. just stick with doing guardian rank objectives, and then you can get into some campaigns

Power is more of a gateway to doing endgame activities. It does not make gear good. The gear is actually quite bad, it's just Infusion fodder.

So, some good starting points - working on your Guardian Ranks up to 6 unlocks most mods and such, and working on the campaigns gets you situated. The chronological order is Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, and then Final Shape, which is what you just described. Beyond Light, Lightfall, and Final Shape, have Subclass rewards.

Many players enjoy this combo for plenty of ammo and extra melee damage

Wastelander is actually craftable once you do the Witch Queen campaign intro and unlock crafting - after this, weapons that may be crafted can drop with special red borders. Extracting this border, or dismantling the gun, gives you a bit of progress towards unlocking the blueprint.

Once that's done (after 5 of those red borders, in this case), you can craft your own and choose the perks for yourself.

The Final Shape is the last campaign that ties up a ten year story. It's probably a bit much.
The first mission is recommended, but if you're rank 2, you haven't even unlocked the most baseline, basic mods.

Well, it's... not... good, but you aren't using two Primaries, so that's a start.
Perhaps you should simply approach Final Shape once you've got a bit more going. Tier 3 Resilience isn't exactly going to help much, for example, and you've got no mods at that Rank, so no real build is happening. And those weapons are all different elements, so Foetracer might not be too practical.

For most dungeons, you can get loot from them once per chest per character per week. On the week that dungeon is featured, you can farm those chests infinitely for any of the drops that could come from that chest.

Grasp of Avarice is a bit different from every other dungeon. You still can loot each chest once per character per week. However, though you can farm it infinitely, only the first clear works like normal. After that, the chests will only ever drop gear and weapons you've previously acquired. If you've never gotten a Matador by the time you're farming it during the featured week, it'll never drop. You have to wait til the next week for another chance.

When you highlight over an Exotic, it should give you a tooltip displaying what it can do

In my personal opinion, you should look for LFGs that are teaching. But before going into raids, prior knowledge will help you. Like videos and such. If you have the current meta damage weapons, like Queens Breaker, you should be fine.

Thunderlord, Sleeper, Gally, Tractor, Whisper, Div (Since you did GoS, assuming for Div, if not thats ok.), Lament, etc. The list goes on, but If you have Thunderlord, Gally, Tractor, or Whisper, you'll generally be ok I believe. For certain encounters they'll be better weapons but that'll take too much to get into lol

People frown upon Thunderlord but it's better than nothing

Nope, there's nothing really to track, though. Have you done a full overthrow in all 3 zones? Then you're on the secret keepers. Killed a secret keeper in all 3 zones? You should see the green beam to start things off

Then you're good to go for dmg. People will give you shade for not using the BEST stuff, but you have to work with what you have atm. In the end, it works. You should watch videos for a basic overview of a raid you'd like to do. And what @turbid talon said, make sure to communicate and not hide if you dont understand.

While anyone can get into raiding, and many Sherpas can guide a potato through many of the fights, it makes things so much smoother to prepare in advance.

• Start by picking a raid, for any reason. Maybe it looks fun, maybe it has a cool reward, it's completely up to you. Some raids are easier than others, like Deep Stone Crypt and Vault of Glass, but any raid can be done by just about any player.
• Look up common strategies used in that raid. For example, Crota's End features a boss fight that takes more damage from Swords, which is fairly unique. You don't want to get halfway into a raid and realize you don't have the tools for the job, so look it up in advance. If you're having trouble finding info or wondering if an older guide is still relevant, it doesn't hurt to ask.
• Raids will often require most players to do some sort of job in each encounter. While it's common to assign newer players the non-job of "add clear", it is extremely beneficial to try to learn a job and understand the encounter mechanics. I'd highly recommend seeking out a "Sherpa" that will oversee the raid and teach the mechanics. One of the most annoying things for regular raiders is to get to an encounter and over half the group only knows how to add clear; don't be that player and learn a job!
• Know your class. While you don't need any particular builds or exotics to start raid, it is very beneficial to know what is meta for your class and what people expect. You don't have to be running a top tier build, but if you're a Warlock without a Well of Radiance setup, people will look at you funny.
• Bring easy, consistent DPS to bosses. While there is no shame in not being the top DPS, you don't want to be the reason your team couldn't clear the encounter because you didn't do your fair share of damage. This is where it pays to look up common strategies in advance. Currently, Lord of Wolves and Queenbreaker (with the Particle Reconstruction artifact perk) are common go-to options for boss damage because they are so easy to use and still put out a lot of damage.
• Lastly, have fun with it! Don't be afraid to leave toxic groups and find ones that are more your speed/style. There are plenty of kind players out there who would love to raid with you.

Full DLCs such as expansions and the 30th Anniversary pack do not sync via cross save. You will have to re-purchase on linked platforms if you want to play that content (including accessing Strand and Prismatic).
