Go to vendor in Rite of the Nine location. Pick up the quests. Launch the dungeon on the left in the Eternity destination on the difficulty you want. Defeating enemies and completing the dungeons will give you Nonary Manifolds. These can be turned in to a chest on the right of the vendor for more loot.

Bungie has been hinting at saving the Nonary Manifolds until near the end of the event for something special, though we don't know what yet. People run dungeons in hopes of getting more shinies/holofoils (think shiny Pokemon) and adept rolls of weapons from the three dungeons available through the event.

It's arguably the best exotic in the game at the moment. It hits like an LMG in ADS mode, does some respectable burst in hip-fire mode, holds quite a bit of ammo, doesn't take up your Heavy slot so you can run DPS/Eager

Relevant in most content, the only areas it's really "weak" in would be a damage rotation. But even then, when it was originally released the hipfire damage was bugged and people were doing some big numbers.

@abstract warren I regularly knock out 10+ Vanguard Pathfinders the day before reset most weeks and that takes like 3 hours. Pale Heart Pathfinder is arguably easier to complete, just need to spend a minute or two planning your route.

Hip fire is only good for bursting down high-health targets. Ideally you're using the ADS 90% of the time. Most times, it's just 1 or 2 bullets per enemy which is on par with LMGs. Subsistence is a bit of a do-nothing perk since you don't need to reload often and it's fairly quick when you do. Onslaught was really strong when you wanted to hip-dump into champs/bosses, but that's less effective now. Destabilizing Rounds helps make the weapon even better at add clear, so it becomes the obvious choice.
