How does the rite of the nine work? You can choose one of the floating weapons after finishing or? And why am I able to ‘attune’ (idek what that means) only some of the floating weapons?

It says you get bonus progress for killing Hive in CE but I should still be getting progress in story missions/ strikes

Tonic of (Onslaught|Tomb) Gear -> Tonic of Vintage (Onslaught|Tomb) Weaponry -> Tonic of Chroma Rush

Stick to a single menu (Onslaught vs Tomb) until you get the tonic recipe, then focus on the other menu. Each menu has different material requirements so focusing on getting the recipe unlocked in both menus asap will give you more flexibility

Should take crafting 5 green tonics (the generic Tomb of X Gear tonic) to unlock a blue tonic. Which one you get is random so you might get the other ones first.

Once you get the Tomb of Vintage X Weaponry tonic, it takes crafting 4 blues to get a purple. There's only 3 possible purple recipes in each menu for Vintage, so at worst it'll require crafting 12 per menu

Solar or Void haha. Arc gives you Riskrunner, which you also get from a quest (explaining why you got 2)

Solar gives Sunshot, Void gives Graviton Lance, both are very solid and fan favorites. You can still get them later from Exotic engrams, but you'll have to fight RNG vs getting it easily.

If you make additional characters, you can have them pick the other two kits and share the weapons between them all

Aegis made a great video covering a lot of the changes from an endgame perspective and covers much of the armor system at 16:15, specifically some information regarding stat archetypes, which isn't really covered anywhere else that I could find.

You don't even need to do an activity, just defeat combatants. One method people like to use is by going to the maze in the King's Fall raid and killing the infinitely respawning Thralls there.

Yes, the pre-Golg maze after Warpriest. Most checkpoint bots have a "maze" command that make it easy.

The reason I suggest the maze is because there is an afk method if that interests you

That's fair. This pic is the stat archetypes as we understand them. In theory there can be 30 combos total, but at the moment it seems like we'll only have access to these 6 to start with. Gunner seems quite good in most neutral situations, so I'd probably keep any Mobility/Discipline pieces you have that will likely be converted into that.

You can't really "farm" for it directly. You need to rank up Rahool and unlock it through him (assuming you own The Final Shape). To rank him up, you just need to decrypt Prime/Exotic engrams with him, which you can farm. Exotic engrams can be farmed directly by running Legend Lost Sectors. Personally I get a ton of Exotic and Prime engrams just running Vanguard Ops for Pathfinder rewards.
