Depends a bit on what you mean by other quest. If you mean the later iterations of Encore, yes. If you mean the actual catalyst quests, no, the chests will be there regardless as long as you're in an appropriate version of the mission.

I would recommend not doing the Choir of One upgrades until you either have Encore: Coda or Encore with no subtitle

Also, since it's commonly confusing for folks, all of the chests needed for the Catalyst quests are through a portal right before the final boss. You need to do the puzzle in the room you're at currently for that portal to be there but first/second/third chest for the catalyst quest does not mean first/second/third chest overall in the mission.

One, I don't know what you've done to attempt to catch up on things. It sounds like you've maybe done the timeline missions, which try to recap the campaigns at a very high level. Second, there's 4 campaigns (and 5 years of seasonal content) in the gap between Forsaken and Final Shape.

If your threshold for not missing too much story is "I will know who every character is and understand any and all events referenced", then you will likely find that you're missing too much.

there isn't too too much available to you as a f2p, you should work on getting synthoceps (new light solar questline), and try to get better statted armor (just prioritize 100 resilience and youll be fine.) Finish up the beyond light & shadowkeep campaigns. Id also recommend at least trying out the ROTN event on explorer mode sometime. See how you like the feel of dungeons (though it's not as hard as a regular dungeon)

for my consecration build, i seem to be running out of melee energy too quick and losing most of my synergies, any tips? I am using consecration and knockout, fragments are: balance, dawn, protection, courage, and purpose. and my mods and stats are shown in picture. i also have some trouble with darkness energy, should i swap a fragment with sacrifice?

rn i am using tinashas with chill clip, graviton lance, and scintillation for champs, i have tried lord of wolves instead of graviton but was also running out of ammo too quickly

tinashas is great but if you are struggling with darkness energy i’d suggest using lost signal

and using something like lotus eater or abberant action in your energy slot

thats just kind of an unfortunate issue with how this build works

you have to be careful to stun champs before you consecrate and be careful not to kill as many ads with it

fragments look good though, i might swap purpose for ruin depending on what super you’re running
