Is there a reason my powered melee won't work 100% of the time on yellow bars but on red bars it seems to? I'm using combustion blow and even after procing it for a long time from "red bar" ad to the next and dealign 120k per hit. with the new expansion soon to be releasing, we are receiving a rework to how armour stats work and also bringing in new armour stats to replace some of them

bungie has said that theyre going to try and make our current armour become updated with these changes but we dont know how much they will actually change nor will we know if they can hold up in the new sandbox

I've had that happen a few times (I have an M.2 drive so clearly it's not only your drive). Sometimes it can be internet related, especially if you have high ping or poor connection (often due to wifi). Sometimes it's a problem with the host's connection as well.

Usually if that ever happens, I check my connection, then either try to queue again or fully restart my game. If it keeps happening, I'd look into repairing/reinstalling the game files. My last troubleshooting step would be to invest in a different drive, there are plenty of other things to check before then.

Usually when people talk about weapons, they'll refer to them in 4 different categories: Base, Shiny, Foil, and Adept (and I guess Crafted and Red Border, but that's a seperate topic).

• Base weapons are just that, the base version. They're perfectly fine to use in most situations.
• Shiny weapons have bonus perk you can select from, making it easier to get the roll you want. It's a slightly confusing name because this was originally a feature of weapons that had a Shiny skin on them, but the community has stuck the name on anything with bonus perk rolls.
• Foil weapons, also called Holofoils, are a cosmetic effect that make the weapons look cool. So far, we've only gotten this twice and it seems to be a limited time thing, even if the base weapons stick around to be earned in other ways.
• Adept weapons are a slightly upgraded version of Base weapons that are usually rewarded for doing the activity on the hardest difficulty. They get a very minor stat boost and have access to special "Adept" weapon mods. However, this is a very very minor boost, so it's really more for the flex than a practical benefit. Also, the weapon system is changing in a little over a month, so the boost from Adepts might be totally worthless then.

Choir is the better weapon overall than LoW, but LoW was buffed so high it was ridiculous. Even with the nerf, it seems like it is still out damaging Choir, but that shouldn't stop you from using Choir if you like it

A crafted weapon that's been fully enhanced is pretty much as strong as an Adept, which is why I was saying don't worry about the Adept thing. The main thing you want is the correct perks. Up to you, Heal Clip is better for survivability, Demo is more for general play. Kinda depends on your needs and what content you're doing. Many players would just keep one of each. Some players will specifically farm a shiny roll (with multiple perks) just to have it have both Heal Clip and Demo on the same weapon and that they can just toggle between

4. Exotic hunting - The weapon and armor systems are changing with the next DLC, so there will be a ton of buildcrafting happening. It would be helpful to unlock some of those items in advance so you can immediately hop into the fun

when you first get a weapon, it is unmasterworked and unenhanced

masterworking consists of increasing the masterwork stat to level 10, then your weapon will get a gold border

enhancing makes the weapon get max masterwork stat benefit immediately and allows you to level up the weapon

level the weapon to level 17 to get enough levels to enhance the weapon perks (the 3rd and 4th column perks)

important detail is enhancing a masterworked weapon does not cancel the masterwork. the bonus stat is still there

think of it like the next tier you can upgrade the weapon to

If this is your first character you've completed The Final Shape on, you should have quests called Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark. Progressing those quests will run you through missions that'll unlock your missing abilities.

If you specifically want a primary with Jolting Feedback, you need Episode Revenant for the first 2 guns in the list or the TFS Dungeon Key for the third
