Black and gold will already be there for you to use. But different packs for different chapters will unlock more unique colours related to those chapters

Still a ton of cosmetics for you to earn in the base game for assault if you browse.
There's presets but you can also just make your own custom armour setup and all DLC is able to be previewed on the class you're using.

This is in operations mode. If you go to the launch bay terminal up the top is a menu to change the game mode. You can switch between campaign, PvE and PvP
PvE is where the operations are.

But I'd recommend finishing the campaign first. Nothing wrong with just checking it out though if you want to see the classes and customise some stuff

If you didn't know @runic yarrow being selected for the deathwatch is a massive honour for space marines. They are the equivalent to the black ops of space marines and are made up of marines from all chapters.
In Titus circumstance though he is what's known as a blackshield meaning he is there to serve a sentence because a space marine is much too valuable to simply throw away so better to point them towards something that needs killing

Base paints is what I have used so far. When I went there they let me paint and keep this Infernus marine for free. Rough patches here and there but overall I'm happy with my very first attempt.

My favourite thing about the alpha legion lore is that on the imperiums side it looks like the legion is striking as one from every side but the actual reality is the legion is broken and different groups are just doing whatever they feel

Like they unintentionally confuse the imperium and make them waste resources.

Alpha legion could appear randomly, they run off simply because they can't win but the imperium then spends next decade trying to figure out why they were in the first place.
