Feel like with any LMG the whole point is to suppress, LMGs even have a natural suppression stat to them compared to other weapons and there's even a perk on one of the named LMGs tied to suppressing

What i usually do is periodically fire bursts of around 3 shots to prevent stacks from decaying

Yeah, sadly suppressing is kinda detrimental to gameplay in div

There are ways to get around it

And it can be helpful in some niches

But usually its a bad thing

The fast fire rate in the first half helps build stacks for the second half to hit extra hard

Div 2 is weird in that on a crit build you actually get more damage aiming center mass

Strained on the MPX is underrated imo. The fire rate is slow enough to get the full benefits but fast enough to where you can absolutely burst enemies down insanely fast.

You need a kill to proc the effect, so if you're facing something like retaliation killsquads, i prefer the faster ttk over the occasional stun

Yeah theres a farm you can do where if you clear one of the short classified assignments, but dont actually leave, you can use a global event or setting to restart it instantly and just farm that assignment endlessly
