which doesn't really make it any easier when it works by drawing a box around you that is bigger than your hitbox and if that gets hit it triggers

7 years ago someone at DE probably thought they were doing something really smart and forward thinking by having the invite message be freeform so they don't need to constantly add new things to invites when they add new activities or something

That or they're rendering their guis in html (see r6 siege's recent similar issue)

Its not that bad if you use the classic command menu (the ones youd see in the SWAT games Ready or Not is inspired by)

They added that awful radial menu and it just doesnt flow

If the limit for refunds wasn't so short I probably would've had more time to get use to it

But yeah, the radial doesn't flow well at all

And took me out of the gameplay trying to mess with squad formation and breach orders

The classic one is like this and its much better

Whatever objects you may be aiming at will have a preset list of various commands, and clicking those will either instantly execute/queue the command or put you into a secondary list of things to do with that command, its way more intuitive

Theres also buttons you can press while in tbose menus to queue commands for your R/B/G teams

As strange as control schemes were back in the day, the original SWAT devs had that shit locked tf in

I'd take bad control schemes if the UI is nicer to navigate

Maybe I'll give the game another go if I can spare the money again

Its got problems but its quite a good game, id say if anything, pick up the original SWAT titles for cheaper from GOG and try those, theyre extremely similar
