I played a little Hunt years ago, I liked the atmosphere and setting a lot

Destiny players will hate Marathon because of the wipe mechanic, that’s for sure, there will not be a lot of crossover between those communities imo.

Only the hardcore PvP players and content creators from trials will really play both

its an extraction shooter, the best way i can describe it is that its like a battle royale but you load in with a loadout (either with gear from previous runs or the free loadout), you scavenge for loot, avoid fighting other players (or do), do side objectives, and then extract

dying without extracting will cause you to lose the gear you had on you currently, but extracting lets you keep what you have and also earned

Yeah Destiny 2 is done no matter what. Either Marathon succeeds and they put all their resources into it like they have been to keep their new cash cow and players going, or Marathon fails and Bungie has no money.

Destiny 2 is at the end of life stage, hospice next year.
