Wand of regrowth Furrowed grass

I noticed that my regrowth wand is producing furrowed vegetation. Why does this happen? Is there a way to "renew" my wand so it produces normal vegetation?

using it too much will do this to prevent seed/dew farming

the cap is increased by upgrading the wand

and the cap is completely removed at +10

Damn. I wasn't farming it, but rather I was using it for camouflage. Now it doesn't proc the invis

Say I upgrade the wand with resin. Does that also increase the cap?
