#More Morsels

Perhaps it would be interesting to expand on the food in SPD and add recipes for new morsels to cook. There's currently the blandfruit recipes and meat pie, but adding more morsels could make the on diet challenge and the rest of the game more interesting, and/or strategic.

Getting food ingredients:

  1. Berries (from the huntress' first tier perk) can now drop from grass (3x rarer than seeds, 1/75 drop). Sandals of nature may increase the drop chance for berries (up to 1/27), and berries may not appear without the huntress perk when the barren land challenge is active.
  2. Egg has a small chance to replace rations when they appear, like cornish pasty (60% ration, 20% egg, 20% pasty)
(The egg provides less satiety than a ration, so if the player does not try to cook then the On Diet challenge will be more difficult)

New recipes:

Raw egg
The egg has a shatter option like honeypot, and you can also throw it to shatter it.
When eaten, it gives the same effects as mystery meat (random debuff, 150 points, 50 on diet).
Not intended to be eaten raw, like mystery meat.

Fried egg
Made by throwing the egg or broken egg into a fire source, or cooks if you are on fire and have egg or broken egg in your inventory.
Gives the same satiety as cooked meat or small rations. (150 points, 50 on diet).
A decent morsel, like cooked meat. Is used in new recipes.

Idea is too large for one message, I'll put the rest of the recipes and effects below.

Example images are provided each new food, listed in order:

  • Egg
  • Raw egg
  • Fried egg
  • Blueberry pie slice
  • Cherry cake
  • Fruitcake example (replace the grey with the specific blandfruit type)
I am not good at pixel art and used some of the in-game items as bases for recolouring.

Blueberry Pie Slice
Made in a cauldron with pasty, ration, berries, and 6 energy. Gives 4 slices.
Each slice gives the same satiety as a small ration (150 points, 50 on diet)
Each slice takes 1 turn to eat (instant if you have a 1 turn talent perk)
The meat pie's satiety and berry's speed combined. Also gives 4 servings with 3 ingredients, so it can be used strategically to activate more on-eat abilities.

Cherry Cake
Made in a cauldron with pasty, broken or fried egg, berries, and 6 energy.
Gives 50 turns of well fed. On diet, the fruit cake just gives 450 points of satiety.
A less-filling alternative to meat pie with different ingredients, helpful if you want to conserve frozen carpaccio.

Blandcake varieties
Made in a cauldron with pasty, broken or fried egg, blandfruit cooked with any seed type, and 6 energy.
Gives same satiety as cherry cake, plus the warden buff of the seed you cooked it with (with Rotberry blandcake or Rotcake, it just gives both +1 strength and adrenaline surge (extra temporary +1 strength)).
The enhanced seed effect is the key appeal for this recipe, if you want to use your blandfruit most efficiently.

Rations
Can also be made in a cauldron with 2 small rations and 0 energy.
For if you want to turn the small rations you bought/made into full rations for the pie recipes.

Small Rations
Can now be made in a cauldron with rations and 0 energy (makes 2 at a time).
Can also be made in a cauldron with fried egg, a meat variety, and 2 energy. (makes 3 at a time).
More portions means more uses of on-eat effects.

Distortion Trap Pie Slice
Made in a cauldron with pasty, ration, reclaim trap infused with distortion trap, and 6 energy. Gives 4 slices.

Eating a slice summons enemies inside you, causing you to violently explode and instantly die

Wandcake varieties
Made in a cauldron with pasty, any wand, blandfruit cooked with any seed type, and 6 energy.

Gives same satiety as small food ration, plus permanent doomed debuff regardless of what cake u ate.

Drugs are the key appeal for this recipe, if you want to use your blandfruit most efficiently.

Rations
Can also be made in a cauldron with 16 microscopic rations and 28 energy.

Small Rations
Can now be made in a cauldron with 8 microscopic rations rations and 34 energy (makes 2 at a time).

Microscopic Rations
Replaces all naturally spawned food in the dungeon, grants 1/16th satiety of what a normal food ration gives.
