Architecture documentation

I'm interested in contributing for Open XR but although I've used Java I mostly work in other things and I couldn't find much documentation on the overall architecture and your abstractions.

This is a big one, and something that is sorely lacking. It is also time-consuming to try and sit down and do it all. Especially where the deeper knowledge is spread out over people, or its code no one who is currently contributing has ever looked at before @mortal depot do you think its worth creating a new forum channel codebase-dev-questions (or some better name) where people can ask questions and others can answer, discussions can happen and then we can also transcribe those answers into some documentation somewhere?

Seem reasonable. So the idea would be to put knowledge-type questions in this new channel and leave #general-dev for discussion on development itself?
