Advice for first time Artificer?

Having trouble getting past the scav toll. One time I did because a vulture swooped onto the toll, causing a scav to throw an explosive spear and kill the remaining ones that didnt get caught by the vulture. but by the time i found enough food to shelter a daddy long legs ate me. general advice + combat with many scavengers at once?

For general advice, ||scavenger combat is very iffy in most cases and is very "hope and pray" in a way||

use cover to your advantage, don't fight a big group head-on

Would rather give too little information than too much

Our default is always vague hints, but you can ask for more direct ones if you're having trouble with anything specific and aren't enjoying yourself

this isnt really advice at all though?? if youve played any other rw campaign you know there's /something/ you can learn/do

The advice here is that you have a lot more such things in your basic moveset for this campaign

many of which are not obvious at first glance

learning that should be your first priority

I’m focusing more on combat because most of survivor’s movement isn’t learned (unless you find a guide), it’s discovering along the way. I presume artificer is the same? Rain world does most things like that (trying not to find direct guides for Arti)
