#My first playthrough

Try exploring it's use cases, like everything we recommend Grabbing, Eating, and then Throwing things in that order
Not normal...
It's pretty difficult to get yourself softlocked in Rain World unless you're actively attempting to get yourself softlocked
I don't mean softlocked, but rather progressing forward is impossible while progressing backward is pretty hard
There really isn't a "forward" or "backward" notion in this game. You kinda just explore
I heard it can contain some information, is it late game thing?
I don't think you want me to reveal that information, as it's best to stay away from spoilers as much as possible
Ahh, ok

So, I figured out how to play: how to farm karma, how to get to other areas, how to survive basic dangers, etc. I finished (not sure) outskirts, half way through drainage system I teleported out of it using some ability because it is unplayable, got through some industrial complex and to garbage wastes where I am. I got some green pulsing pearl in garbage wastes, what can I do with it?
I am going to get out of garbage wastes... So tired of those big monstrous birds
At least lizards and red leeches aren't as populous, and there are also friendly monsters in the location
So friendly that they exploded with few tons of some red thing when i tried to get over some big skull
Why do I rarely get cutscenes after sleeping?
Anyway, i think i am progressing to the new area!
Some yellow plankton started to show some images and tips
Progression!
The region is shorelines
I didn't find food in the very beginning of region, it will be pretty hard, I think...
If you want the answer : (idk if it spoils anything, but I’ll still mask it if you want some mystery) ||it's showing you you’re progressing through the game by showing you cutscenes (it means you're going the "right way" even tho there's no right way in Rain World)||
I noticed Shorelines are much easier compared to other regions...
Actually, it has a lot of food and very little danger is present
I got some scene of cat sitting in front of greenish sea and some yellow plankton is next to the cat looking at it...
Yellow plankton is spamming some robot and direction signs...
sounds interesting
What could sign of archetypical robot mean?
It’s probably a sign of some kinda archetypical robot
Archetypical robot?
Idk, just some sign yellow plankton projects
Ah the yellow plankton
@novel glade please don't give unprompted information
My bad
All good
Funny music started playing, lol
«Dadadadadada»
I found a new shelter
That region is so much easier...
And funnier with those fish that you can ride on
Yeah the fish are cool
Started climbing some ladder
Do you know what region your in?
When i got in that region it said Shorelines
Oh sounds about right with the fishes
I found some peaceful pool, with no predators, finally!
Ooooo
I see a lot of totems on background...
Interesting
Does it take up like half your screen?
Yeah
Successfully evaded it
Had to go back
I grabbed boat fish to swim faster than those giant fish
thats the best way to run away from the big fish
I found some strange structure
It has some orange tint right now
Text at the bottom of the screen says «Looks to the moon»
Who looks at the moon?
Under water
Hmm
Yellow plankton started showing image of some robot with yellow dress
Found a shelter
It is so grim...
wsp mate
Robot
I want to grab those flies and eat them... Should i do it?
Do whatever you wanna do
That robot started screaming
And my cat began to glow
Anyway, what is the reward for visiting that robot?
Reward? What’s that?
Oh you ate the flies
Yummers
a yummy meal!!
The reward is a tasty snack
Only one way to find out!
(in reply to this)
Why it looks so scary?
Woahh that looks cool
I love the fact glow effect is not temporary
Sorry I put the scary in the wrong place
I crawled a bit and found new location
Shaded citadel
What are these orange things?
I just realized how useful was eating looks to the moon flies...
It is permanent portable light source

I am stuck at shaded citadel
Memory crypt is so hard... Still didn't manage to get to nearest shelter, there is no food in lower part of region
What'dya think of the threats at memory crypt?
Too loud
Anyway, i finally got to the new location's shelter!
YEEEESSSS
Memory crypt was hardest location I ever encountered
The new location is called Leg
If it is leg, where's the head?
What are the green sparks?
Gib theory!
Maybe some fiery dust from above
Anyway, got to my second Leg shelter
A slugcat is certainly pleased by the smaller things in life
I am going to get to new location! It looks grim...
This location is called five pebbles... Are there five unique rocks?
Why would five pebbles be name of a region?
Why would anything be the name of a region?
Shaded citadel makes sense
Shoreline, drainage system
Those names are fitting
But what could possibly be with five pebbles?
Guess you'll have to find out! Maybe there's only five pebbles here!
Location kinda looks like look to the moon structure
Lots of pipes
I am flying
What is that?
Where are you stuck?
Also, remember that you can check your in game map to look for places you haven't been
Unfortunate development vertical tunnel filled with blue octopuses
It's the "Unknown"!!!
Stuck somewhere there
We gotta escape from SOMEWHERE!??? /ref
There are other ways to progress through that room
Are there hidden vents?
I only see a way of going up
What ways do you think you could use the unique conditions of this region to your advantage?
(If you want something more explicit, I mean ||zero gravity||)
Idk, i only know going up is possible while zero gravity is active
Anyway, is there any tip?
Let's see... in terms of a very explicit tip, I would say... ||Try staying closer to the center of the room as you ascend it||
Also remember that you can look for another direction to go if this one is causing you too much trouble
I'll try other method
That route is impassable wall
Turns out alternative route is effortless while giving the same reward...
I got through unfortunate development! Finally!
What is that?
Why does it look like neurons
Like actual neurons
I died to some blue lamps
Have to parkour again...
...?
What's that
Some final boss?
Who's that?
Is that John Five pebbles himself?
He gave ability to understand some symbols
What is that
...is this reaching you?
A little animal, on the floor of my chamber. I think I know what you are looking for.
You're stuck in a cycle, a repeating pattern. You want a way out.
Know that this does not make you special - every living thing shares that same frustration. From the microbes in the processing strata to me, who am, if you excuse me, godlike in comparison.
The good news first. In a way, I am what you are searching for. Me and my kind have as our purpose to solve that very oscillating claustrophobia in the chests of you and countless others. A strange charity - you the unknowing recipient, I the reluctant gift. The noble benefactors? Gone.
The bad news is that no definitive solution has been found. And every moment the equipment erodes to a new state of decay. I can't help you collectively, or individually. I can't even help myself.
For you though, there is another way. The old path. Go to the west past the Farm Arrays, and then down into the earth where the land fissures, as deep as you can reach, where the ancients built their temples and danced their silly rituals. The mark I gave you will let you through.
Not that it solves anyone's problem but yours.
At the end of time none of this will matter I suppose, but it would be nice if you took another way out. One free of... frolicking in my memory arrays. There is a perfectly good access shaft right here.```
Go my dialogue jumpscare
Reading this post is so interesting as someone who has just passed this region like hours ago lol
Go make your own thread, then
To be honest, unfortunate development subregion is the hardest I ever encountered
The second most difficult was memory crypt
And third one was drainage system
I looked up some guides, and yeah, drainage system is considered to be noob trap...
And I got stuck there for some time, managed to escape only by teleportation
I got a mission from five pebbles to go down
Five pebbles turned out to be not some rocks, but just a robot...
I got to new location!
It is some chimney
Oh... it is recommended not to look up things like guides or other resources online, as it can spoil you or take away from the experience; after all, Rain World is an open world game!
I saw beginner guide without spoilers
...It lied to you. By nature of being a guide at all, it has spoilers
Anyway by the moment i saw that guide i was at shaded citadel
The point is, me getting stuck at drainage system is actually common thing...
its the mosquito light it hink
Blue lamp is in five pebbles thingy that kills when touched
I noticed that by combining down, right/left and jump key, slugcat can move very fast by charging. How to do it consistently?
Oh, that
Looks like you've figured out the inputs; you can practice in arena mode if you want to get them more consistent
I got to the entrance of new area!
Wonder what would it be
And it goes down?
Btw, i found some weird creature there and got the highest level of something
The area is called subterranean
I got to filtration system...
Why everything starts to get blurry
And lighting got yellow tint
What was that flash?
I got max level

Oh wow you made a tone of progress
I found a statue of Buddha?

oooooooooooooooooo
Why are there so lot of buddhist temple-shaped things in the area
This place looks so peaceful and beautiful
What a peaceful music
The music is amazing wherever you go in the game
Yeah but im this area it is especially peaceful, spiritual
Yeah this area is great
What is this ocean

Where to swim
?
So dark
Who is that
I am pulled!
So dark
Oh
I got duplicated
It became a little bit brighter
And more monotonous compared to upper parts of that sea
How deep is it?
Is that god of slugcats?
Good job!
contrats on the finish!
Thanks!
Now only 9 more campaigns to go!

congrats on your ascension

What was this creature?
I searched on wiki, it was called Echo
Oh i see yeah!
You can use the wiki, but be aware that it may contain spoilers for stuff you haven't seen yet in this game
But not as dim as the rest, perhaps?
So down into the depths you go as many others before you, drawn to the void again and again, an endless drip drip drip.
Much like these tunnels and caves that amuse me so. The bones of forgotten civilizations, heaped like so many sticks.
Did they dig too deep, or not deep enough?
Fools. We were right to drill straight through them!```
yeah generally we don't recommend looking on the wiki if you haven't finished all of the other campaigns yet
there are lots of spoilers there and sometimes they aren't hidden behind spoiler warnings either (ex. downpour or watcher content)
of course it's completely your choice, but the option is there if you'd like to ask your questions here and receive answers without the risk of spoilers
