However, there are infinitely many routes you can take through the game

(Well ok I guess not infinite, there’s only so many regions)

You can, but not that common. Most regions have a way to go back.

I restarted my first playthrough cuz i acidentaly ate the glowy flies and i realized the overseer wasnt there anymore so i reset it and im starting to wonder am i supposed to follow it orr i honestly dont know what its doing is it pointing at me or?

Nope, there’s no ways to truly softlock yourself

You can get yourself into situations that are difficult to get out of, yes, but no softlocks
