I’ll do my best not to spoil too much.

I love this game for a few reasons. The main one being is that with each campaign you can see the passage of time. Massive amounts of time, and not through the traditional ‘this is how long it’s been’.

But by going back through regions, and habitats. Seeing how the two main iterators of the story impacted the ecosystem depending on their functional conditions. As well as how each slug cat adapted to its rapidly changing environment.

Seeing the structures and environments before, during, and after specific events occurred. Especially the noticeable differences between each campaign (some minor, others major)

The lore is very intriguing. I like how the story isn’t immediately clear or obvious. Essentially in someway it forces the player to go explore and see what this game has to offer.

It keeps (not just me) but I bet, other people wondering what’s going on or if there’s a bigger plot.

Or if you’re this little creature in a rapidly changing environment just trying to make it to the next day (or cycle in this case.)

Even getting somewhat rewarded for surviving by being able to unlock certain gates for just consistently getting through the cycles.

In terms of art style, it’s gorgeous. Controls are simple. Physics are interesting, but frustrating at times.

I love that I get to play as these little silly floppy creature. The lizard designs are also fantastic.

(my favorite is the eel lizard. They’re very silly noodle creatures and they sport some of my favorite shades and hues of green)

As an artist I can gush endlessly about this game. As beginner game coder, this must have been an absolute nightmare to put together.

Regardless, the game is fantastic in my personal opinion. Despite the physics behind all the mechanics and creatures.
