ill give some advice, please do take your time.
trying to rush through the game will only lead to more frustration and ive seen players drop the game because of it
there is a good reason why you have to beat Monk or Survivor first
do you currently have the DLC enabled? you said you couldnt find the other characters so im assuming you dont?

I know that it's 1000% a bad idea to try to rush through it, but I saw small snippets of Artificers gameplay, and it just seems so interesting that I can't resist the urge to try to rush towards that

yea probably thats a common mistake
if you do enable the dlc you will need to move to downpour firstplaythroughs because the dlc does major changes to vanilla campaigns

I'll probably still try to go through survivors playthrough (I'd rather that than monk, now that I've actually read the description, since I want combat), but I'd love to unlock all the characters by default

yea have you figured out yet that the dlcs and remix have their own configurable settings?
but now that i think about it i think they contain spoilers in there
Artificer does unlock right after completing Monk or Survivor anyway

I mainly want to unlock all characters by default so I'm not forced to playthrough slugs I don't necessarily find fun in order to unlock em all, so I will still do my best to play properly
