as the title says, i made it to looks to the moon and i am carrying one of the gold orbs from the top of this area, when brought to her though she doesnt read it, i read online that she should? am i missing something? any/all help would be greatly appreciated also irlly dc about spoilers if it helps me progress, hearing a vague tip isnt rlly helpful to me i prefer to to x location and collect y object for z reason for example if this is okay? but yeah lmk <3

but i feel like all ive done really is kill creatures and barely survive, knowing theres a story and not knowing how to progress it is killing me

That's kinda how the game works. If it helps you, if you explore, you will find something interesting sooner or later. Also, 
might have some opinions on where you should go if you look closely.

Yeah, but it takes a lot of effort and time to find. If you don't feel like exploring that much, I am willing to dhare more info, but I'd recommend exploring.

i mean personally the main allure of this game is the story that comes with the gameplay, i tend to gravitate towards the story portions of most games and i felt like a lot was given but not quite translated for lack of a better word like ik the game is a big ecosystem and takes place across several megastructures and has these symbols that are needed to move between areas but like
idk WHY and i wanna know WHY aha
and like i had explored the game for ages and found out the area i got to in sky garden was way ahead of where i should have started even though i followed the yellow flower things and i just feel a bit lost in what to do, like i finally found looks to the moon but now i cant even understand whats being said and theres 0 indication on what to do next
im just frustrated and idk what im expected to do, like i tried exploring but apparently i went too far before even though i had been actively trying to find smth that could point me in any one direction
at one point i thought i should just get as high up as possible like if i had been walking across the lowest level of a vertical landscape but reaching the top i read online was part of a quest FAR later into the game and i feel like others know what to do but idk what to do and theres not rlly any indication of what to do so like.... i just feel like dropping the game at this point because trying to navigate the story is so hard but i am deathly curious to learn more :((

The "intended" path from LTTM would be go to shaded, and from there to a new region at the right of the titadel.

There's no restriction on which area you can enter at which time
You're still relatively early and it is normal for mysteries to be unanswered 
and you will beat the game and still be having questions. But you will gain the capacity to make some realisations and sense of the world if you continue exploring

Almost nothing is mandatory in this game so it is very much possible to win and having missed a truckload of things actually. However you can play infinitely without being closed out of a run even after completion, and have all the time in the world to return to see loose ends 
You also have multiple slugcats with their own stories who also give opportunities to add missing pieces of puzzles without repeating yourself very much

does there exist a guide/quest log/journal online that i can follow to complete the storyline for each slugcat? i think i am just more used to having a system like this in a game. i understand the allure and the difference between rainowrld and other games but if this exists i would very much appreciate being pointed in the right direction if possible

Rainworld isn't really a game with a "correct" way to play it, and it majorly benefits from a blind experience of spoilfree discovery instead of playing it like a wiki game with instructions - just ask the Outer Wilds fandom who are equally defensive against looking up spoilers. That game and this one share very similar dna
You will find everything you want and need to, if you pick a direction you want to explore and keep going at it
The world map is interconnected like a spiderweb so every road leads to important landmarks, whether it's the long way or short.
