#How do I end the game

You end the game by wandering and finding your way eventually
Rain World is a lot deeper than a "go from point a to point b and you win" game
Even if you win, you havent learned anything and wont feel accomplished
You play by trial and error and anything you learn at any pace is progress towards the eventual end goal
I mean yea
But at this point I kinda just wanna tye satisfaction of ending the game ya feel
The world is pretty big and free to explore. You won't get much out of gunning it for the ending except struggle
You're right
But idk if I'm just not gamer enough but this game fucks me up BIG time (mad)
there's not much satisfaction from ending a game if there isn't all the build up to ending it
everyone struggles on their first time playing
and often in subsequent times playing
what part fucks you up the most
Yeaa
But at the same time I'm a crying man-child and like
I'm sorry if I just do not get it but at this point I just want to end it so at least I'll be the guy to say "yea heh, I've beaten rainworld"
once you have explored the whole map you will end the game
if that is a good enough task
you will probably end before getting every room, but it is a good thing to focus on
if it's just dying so much, dying is a big part of the game and not something to get upset over
dying is not a punishment
even if it may take your time

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the game and it's whole thing; it's a really beautiful and very interesting game with it being a digital ecosystem n all like I find that to be genuinely cool
But at the same time I get too mad at this videogame because I'm not a gamer and like
I would just like to finish the survivor campaign because I don't want to have this cool thing I like not finished if that makes sense
Yeah...
when you get frustrated you should take a break and come back later
Unfortunately this game does not take kindly to speedrunners. The more you try to force your way through it, the harder it pushes back.
you will not get the satisfaction you're looking for if you just rush to finish the game
Yea I do that y'know
But when I come back I just end up wanting to kill people again
you also will likely struggle just as much even if you do try to rush to finish the game
So, yeah, if you're getting frustrated it's better to take a break than to force yourself to keep playing and get even more frustrated.
theres nothing stopping you from taking a longer break, weeks or months
its pretty common for someone to drop the game for awhile and come back refreshed
have you changed up your strategy or the direction you're going at all when that happens
Like 25% of Rain World fans have dropped the game for months during their first playthrough
No shame in that.
doing that will just cut out a lot of the fun parts of playing the game
I was following the lil orange spirits to see if that would lead me somewhere but because of me forgetting
They just bring me back to a place I've been
(But I've heard that they help in showing the player where to go I think but yea, I just feel like I'm running in circles)
are you sure they bring you to a place youve been
Yea
and where is that place
Shaded citadel
(and, given how ... mentally demanding survival in Rain World can be, being frustrated is kind of a death sentence)
and have you found anything interesting there
that they may have been trying to lead you to
(also you dont have to follow them, if you don't feel like you're getting anywhere by doing that you can always explore on your own)
Not sure atm
When I come back I'll see
you will eventually find something of note by exploring new places
that is downpour
also. advice for not getting mad
Rain World is visually really painful, but try to forget that.
In a lot of circumstances, there's not actually a lot of practical reasons to not die, if you think about it. Even the lost travel is mitigated by the openness and unpredictability of the world.
So don't let your survival instincts trick you into thinking you're failing when you aren't.
Yeaaaaaa
I've learned that dying is important in this game
Like
It's a genuinely really satisfying and nice experience when I'm not stressing tf out because SOMEHOW a vulture is just here now
it may be hard but youre kinda forced to change your perspective on dying
Yeaaaaa definitelyyyy
Focus on what you're learning between each death. The lizards can never take that from you.
because otherwise it can get very hard to play
Yurrrrr
