At the begining of my run i killed a scav in shaded citadel who speared me for no reason(probably a high aggresion scav) and ate it, and unintentionaly killed another one later on by falling in its head. This happened within the first handful of cycles of this run, but it has haunted my entire playthrough, and it seems that no matter what i do and how many cycles pass their aggresion wont ease off.
That the SC scavs are hostile is understandable, but even the ones in other regions wont let me off the hook. After going to Garbage Wastes from Shoreline a couple dozen cycles after my ill-fated murder they would still try to kill me on sight, they killed me multiple times even in the toll room if i am not quick to throw the pearl. I tried to raise my reputation by paying the toll multiple times with pearls in diferent cycles, but the only change i noticed is that the scavs inside the toll room were a touch more chill, but outside of it they still kill me if i am close, spearing me even if i lay down on the floor unmoving.
I am now in the Industrial Complex and in more than one occasion Scavs have targeted me despite there being bigger threats around. I am talking a Scav inside the mouth of a cyan lizard being carried to its nest, upon being released from the jaws of death due to my vulture mask scaring it off, immediately picking up a spear from the ground and throwing it in MY direction rather than the reptile killing machine that is not only closer to it but was also killing it a few seconds ago.
What will it take for those dirty fucking primitives to stop hounding me? I have lost several hours of my life because any area with Scavs will see them constantly setting me back, the game becomes straight up unfun because they are plainly not designed as an enemy you are supposed to be constantly fighting, doubly so because i cant actually fight them, since killing them will just lead to them escalating their violence.
