I have played the vanilla campaign until ||Shoreline|| but I stopped after a while. I recently got Downpour and the Watcher DLCs on sale and heard that Downpour changed a few things about the Survivor campaign so I thought starting over would be best.

How can I swap something I'm holding in my left hand to my right?

I tried to kill one of them lizards (the larger ones) before realising that they take like 10 spear hits before they die

Then another two came along and I didn't even get to finish him off smh

do creatures in this game react to pain? I've repeatedly witnessed creatures I've speared (but not killed) spasm and struggle to move, such as the lizard I tried to kill

when you pause the game, you get a small list of other basic things you can do including swapping an object to your other hand

for hand swapping it's pressing grab twice monksilly

I recognise the scavengers, but not the white moth creatures behind them... let alone whatever monstrosity is at the cetnre

I've died countless time in this area

Mostly due to my own overconfidence. Even though I feel like I'm beginning to get good at defending myself, I always underestimate how damn durable a lizard is.

Still haven't successfully killed a lizard while also successfully making it through the day

I'm so damned paranoid of the purple ones

I've found the entrance to another region in the bottom-left corner of Outskirts but I have yet to survive enough days in a row to get through it

#

I haven't been there yet, I don't think it's the one which leads to the region with big bird and the skyscraper (forgot its name)

I tried to go up there, but there was no more time to explore; the rain was coming

One part of me wants to get out of the outskirts ASAP and progress but another part of me thinks that I'm rushing

I've made a thing to (hopefully) get into another region. The bit in red at the top is where I assume is the entrance to the next region with big bird in it, there aren't many places which lead straight up. Hopefully there'll be food on the other side, but just to be safe I'm probably going to head down to grab me some batflies first.

I really have to explore the left side of the map. A few areas have water in them but I haven't been able to progress further due to time constraints

got into Industrial Complex again, decided not to test my luck again, slept

it's nice that the game saves my knowledge of Industrial Complex from the previous savefile, now I have a substantially complete map of the area.

Did some more exploring indoors (to avoid big bird) and found two other types of lizard. One's blue, smaller, and can walk on the background wall and the other is transparent/white/rainbow (?) which has a tongue to grapple things with

Haven't gotten up close and personal with them yet (thankfully) so I might have missed a few things

I found one of the white lizards in the overground next to what I can only assume is a nest of bees/spiders or whatever. The bugs immediately swarmed the passive lizard as I entered the area and coated it in some sort of web which damaged it somehow? maybe they stung it too? I then quickly finished the lizard off

Could I get some more information on the bug nest? I'm really curious but I haven't been able to find another one of them. Any non-story-related information would help!

then I travelled into another area where I saw a pack of scavengers right next to the entrance-point, quickly decided "nope!", and went back

in hindsight I probably should've given them the pearl so that they wouldn't kill me

lizard thrashing about in ridiculous ways (probably) because I'm not actually dead yet

Another new lizard, much fatter, beige head and spines, and a white body

it also spits acid or smth

Killed a green lizard for the first time... before dying to a blue one just a minute later

then I had my vengeance

Apparently, I've also been underestimating the white lizard's camoflauge ability

#

it's absolutely insane. They sit by entrances or narrow corridors and snatch me before I can react

good thing they're just as fragile as the rest of the smaller lizards

I notice that one of the symbols on the right of the room looks incredibly similar to the "Dragon Slayer" symbol

what does the red pip represent? I had an encounter with a predator or some other thing (I can't recall exactly what) and an effect, identical to when I collected the other ones for the arena, happened. I checked the Arena and nothing new appeared.

in cycle 9, I noticed that the area above my shelter, which is usually teeming with batflies, is empty. Then places around where I would expect a lizard or two to be hanging out are also devoid of life. I wonder if this is a story thing or something that just randomly happens?
