I had an idea but I am not sure about the point in the lore

I was thinking about having it be half blind, not half an eye, just having very low visibility

Due to them being a long time in the subterranean away from light, they evolved in to giving away its sight but having a lot of hearing, so the screen would be half in black, but if something made a noise or a rock was thrown an image would appear with the surroundings

That would be its main drawback

But as an upside, you could open the map and hear creatures move one room from afar.

Due to being underground all the time it would have pretty long nails like claws, that would give them 2 main uses (I haven’t thought of a combat based one, since I imagine the slugcat always hiding and eating corpses):

• You could press the special button when inside of a malfunctioning pipe and dig through it and go to the other side, getting potentially to creatures dens or use pipes that are only available for lizards and that stuff
• If you stand in a floor for one second still while pressing special you could dig a small hole in the ground that lets you hide in it using the first/stone to make a soft wall so people don’t see you (would be useful to let creatures pass through and get them in your vision range), it maybe be possible through some tech to use this in walls to potentially climb vertical walls

I thought about the slugcat to be mainly carnivorous

And the setting would be a potential post saint world, in which the void fluid has started to raise desintegrating some parts of the subterranean part of the map, making tunnels through some regions

I still haven’t thought of what the campaign objective could be, but I thought that maybe you could be transporting some void fluid to the iterators so they could scape since saint have them karma 10 but they needed the fluid to ascend. Or it could play on all saint being a “dream” and then you need to talk to a more functioning moon so it could use some karma gates permanently closing entire regions, stoping the void fluid rise but dooming some biomes forever

So the design would be a purple almost black skin with very long whiskers (maybe ending on white tips), with visible white claws sticking on their fingers. On the eye design I though of them as pure black but with some white dots, star-like

So that was the general vibe I was thinking about it but i am not sure

I never engaged with this creatures in my normal saint playthrough

daam, they are more interesting and a lot more dangerous of what I thought

fun to discover that the acid is also extremelly dangerous for them too

So I got them all stick in the orange liquid and then double explosion

but I was so close to death a lot of times

I was so confused in the last 5 seconds trying to understand why I did not won

both attacked them each other getting the mask off and then ignored themselves and got to me extremelly agressively in the last seconds

baited both of them with the grass barelly surviving and then I was able to get the blue fruit slowly

this challenge seems hard

So I guess I should be ascending one of the explosive eggbugs, then getting two of the explosion in the vultures 0.5 that way I far the maximum points

It would be interesting to see how many points does killing a red lizard or a red centipede give

I’m gonna try and find all the echoes following the advice the echo gave me on top of metropolis

and if I don’t find my way we can do hints or just go to the big ball building on metropolis and kill the chieftain

and let’s hope this time around si can get all of the flashbacks since in the last artificier playthrough I missed 2 or 3 I think

and I’m gonna re read all the dialogue carefully of five pebbles once it activated the drone ID. And then I will get my eyes glued to the screen trying to find hints for inv while going through the karma gate and in general on metropolis

And if I don’t find anything of good use in metropolis, after going to all the echoes (I am still not sure if I can get to karma 10 but yeah) we will try and look closely at the depths, since maybe the gate that they refer to in the riddle is the ones to the void fluid
