i mean, it's up to you if you really want to, but i encourage you to keep on trying! you can always try looking for a new area or backtrack if this new place is giving you a lot of trouble

Msc

MSC (More Slugcats Expansion) is part of the Downpour DLC enabled in the Remix menu. MSC changes all campaigns and if you have it enabled you MUST move to the Downpour equivalent of the channel, even with base game slugcats.
